How to Read Guitar Tab – Beginner.
Guitar tab is made of up 6 horizontal lines representing the strings on the guitar. Guitar tab is used for the electric guitar, acoustic guitar, and bass guitars. The bottom line on the guitar tab represents the lowest string on your guitar; the E string. The guitar strings from lowest to highest are E,A,D,G,B,E. Numbers are used to represent the guitar frets. When a zero is shown, the string is left open. The number one is for the first guitar fret, the number two the second and so on.
